Built up photamagraphs of Dragons new StuG w/ winterkittens

Post  G Cooper on Wed Jun 01, 2011 1:07 am

I don't know the difference between a summer kitten and a winter kitten Suspect , But I guess Dragon does. Cause they are about to give us one in a "new" StuG III with a whole set of em What a Face .

Heres the piccys of it

The kit looks as nice as they all seem to be from Dragon recently, but I don't see the kittys cat anywhere scratch

Oh yeah baby Razz !

I can imagine it allready. Faded whitewash under a layer of Russian mud. Beautiful man, just beautiful.

I would also really like it for the big D to give us these tracks in the one piece Dragon Styrene stuff they are using for more of their newer kits like the Shermans and Tigers.

I wonder how they managed to get the metal tow cables to stay in shape. Years back,I built the new version of the Pz IV f2. I could not get those metal tow cables to stay folded. Shocked

.
Greetings;

....... Nice sharp looking Assault Gun. I like the bolted on supplemental armor. The
studs, and nuts look real sharp.... nice detail. This one should look great...........

Chad;

Dragon is using softer wire for there towing ropes, in there newer kits.
in the past I have had similar problems with the cables.

..... One way to work with stiff tow cables is:

1. before you attach the end pieces to the cable, measure the length that
...you want the cable to be.

2. Take a bic lighter, or equivalent, and holed the cable with pliers,
... and heat up the length or cable. This process will make the wire
softer, and more ply-able.

3. You may also use this process on you brass, Stainless, and other PE
... parts. For example...... we want to make our front fenders bent up,
of course we are using brass fenders. Heat the brass, annulling the metal
then when you do your bends it will be easer.
..... after gluing on your fenders, it will be a lot easer to make simulated
damage. This also works for shrapnel damage, and small arm's damage
to parts of the vehicle.....

The easiest way I have discovered to do this is to go to my nearest home improvement center (what we used to call the hardware store Wink ) and purchase speaker wire from the electronimacle department at about .15 cents a foot. A dollar and a half gives me about a 2-4 year supply of the stuff, and it's just the perfect size for lots of stuff other than tow cables.
