Another one down
With DML's pending M4 105 that just about nails the family line of major variants. I'm keeping an open mind on this one but do have a preference for the Tasca kits as they are a joy to build and don't have you grind your teeth fitting the transmission. Regardless I will get at least one of each plus a few of the m4 105's
Between DML and Tasca we now have the Sherman Family (major production/significance) in plastic. A far cry from when I started modelling 35th when we had the multiscaled Tamiya M4A3E8, the new Italeri M4A1, the Nichimo M4A1 and the Revell indeterminate scale M4/M4A3/M4A1 HVSS whatever.

Re: Dragon Jumbo - and so it begins !
Its a funny thing , I have a Cyber Hobby & a Dragon Kubelwagen , the both are clearly marked Bego & the Cyber Hobby one is totally the Tasca kit with other goodies in etch and Dragon figures as well as all the tasca /Bego figures . So I am wondering if their is any collaberation with these kits given the close release dates ?

I'd say no - Definately
DML and Tasca are pretty much mortal enemies when it comes to Shermans and this is merely them both coming out with the same subject at the same time. Both have been long rumoured and surprisingly they both arrive at the same time although I am reliably informed the Tasca ones are shipping and have been recieved already with a promise of Jan for the DML one.
The old Bego link was from a long time ago and it's a third party product for both manufacturers.
I'm looking forward to seeing both of these releases as it will be intersting to see how much effort DML put into this one i.e. offer correct roadwheels, "kneeled" suspension etc. It's a great thing to have competition.

Oh yeah , there is no doubt with two brand new Jumbo's coming out that the winner can only be the modeller although I do think when a second company comes out with the same kit that usually one is rushed which sounds like the DML kit in this case . Often the second promised kit is often a rue , like the promised Panzer IV bridgelayer from Dragon , the announcement of which stopped many potential buyers of the Trumpeter kit still ! There was a similar Stryker announcement from DML at the time when the Trumpeter and AFV club were first announced .

Agreed
Yep, that's about it unfortunately. I suspect DML's 25 pdr is a kit in this category as there is another in the works according to Santa's Elves (I believe they have held off on that announcement now). Iget very suspicious when they come out with something like that but no CAD poster. It's absence is usually a pretty good indication that they are playing catchup or spoiler. No one said businesses had to be nice though.
