Verlinden Productions reviews incoming!

My first impressions are very favorable after seeing the new PE included. Nice brass items and many of the newer sets do not have connectors so you just peel to use them. Well done VP!

1:35 Nuts & Washers Photo Etched, item #2496 $8.95USD No connectors on the PE pieces!

1:35 German Vehicle Tool Clamps, item #2499 $8.95USD No connectors on the PE pieces!

1:35 German Maintenance Tools WWI, item #2502 $8.95USD No connectors on the PE pieces!

1:35 Bolts, Screws & Fasteners #2505 $8.95USD No connectors on the PE pieces!

1:35 WWII German Weapons Slings #2509 $8.95USD No connectors on the PE pieces!

1:35 WWII German Vehicle Tool Clamps #2510 $8.95USD No connectors on the PE pieces!

1:35 German Vehicle Registration Plates #2519 $17.95USD No connectors on the PE pieces! Decals look a little thick but I will test them.

All Scales Welding Beads #2520 $11.95

1:35 Cutlery Set PE, item #2521 $8.95USD No connectors on the PE pieces!

1:35 Sherman Crab Conversion (Dragon M4A4), #2524 $69.95USD
The flat plate chain is very nicely done in resin. Wire is included for the marker light poles at the rear. A complete replacement turret is included (same as item 2530 without the smoke launchers or British aerial guard pieces)

1:35 Oak Leafs (leaf set I), item #2528 $12.95USD

1:35 British Sherman Turret W/ Canvas, #2530 $19.95USD Includes a nice PE set for the grenade launchers and British radio aerial guard.

1:35 M31 ARV On Lee Recovery Vehicle, #2531 $64.95USD Includes mantlet covers for both Academy and Tamiya. I am sending this kit out to Roy Chow who has an ongoing blog on the M-31 and all his references are at hand.

1:35 Ovate Leafs (leaf set II), item #2532 $12.95USD

1:35 Pinnate Compound (Leaf Set III), item #2536 $12.95

Regards,

No connectors, no need to free the part with a knife as there is nothing to cut. you just carefully peel a backing film away and the part is loose. Clever! It is not the first time I see this as Ole Etcher Fred (Fotocut) has done this with the parts varnished to a rubber sheet and both LionRoar and Mig Productions have similar products with the film backing. The big difference is that these items are really well designed, reproduced, and AFFORDABLE! My review will check accuracy.

Even if the product does not come out to be accurate, the fact that they have this technology at their disposal means that the next items (if needed with better accuracy thanks to better references) will be superb!
