Yes, these are nice, but they are not two but five sets - I hate this habit of Voyager that they promo their sets on one picture and then you have to dig out from the net what will you really get for your money.

Wow! shinny brass everywhere Shocked

The Bison and Panzerjager sets look fabulous.

Do they include some sunglasses with those sets so you're not blinded when you use them What a Face

I think I know where your coming from - I've built the Bison 1 from Dragon and aside from dodgy instructions ( Sleep ) its a very finely reproduced vehicle. I love dressing things up with PE but I can't see much use for replacing the glacis plate or engine deck for brass versions or really from replacing the crew shields - its a fragile enough vehicle in styrene!

Having said that the photos do look impressive - the model looks too good to paint even!

Now Daz & Ben , I do totally understand the overkill thing you two refer to , I think it is why the kits have seperate fender , hull & "Basic" sets , totally up to the modeller if & how much etch to use . This is the whole idea is that , if you do not think a set is waranted don't buy it but you can not be upset that a company gives us the choice Very Happy !

Greetings and Salutations Daz

I see from your posting that you've built the DML Bison.

I've got the wee fella in the "To Do" pile, anything I should look out for?

Hi Jenny,

You are quite right of course - the quality and choice available these days is wonderful - of course one potential use for sets like these is to smarten up those old standards everyone has in their stash - I've been meaning to build my Tamiya M16 for ages - now that would look good with some PE surgery.

Hi Simon,

One biggie - if it was one of the first batch of kits - open it up and check the barrel has been included affraid . Mine didn't have one though the Dragon rep soon got a replacement out to the shop.

It is rather fragile (if your as kak handed as I am What a Face ). The instructions are dodgy in the extreme - I think possibly the worst I've yet encountered from Dragon - even the presumably brand new bit covering the sIG 33, there are lots of errors and omissions in there but its fit and finish is typical top draw Dragon and the inclusion of Magic Track makes the process of making the tracks up much better than their earlier Panzer 1 kit offerrings. Overall, I'd say its a little gem - even before adding all the lovely PE in this thread!

Cheers
