Tuning your Airbrush (Crown cap & Preset handle)

A Crown cap is use to protect the needle when you're really close to a model and prevent splatter by providing a better airflow around the needle.

If your airbursh maker doesn't sell one or if the price seems too high for such a simple piece then try this:

Simply buy a regular needle cap and use a small dremel grinding bit to make one. Take only a few minutes and work a charm.

A preset handle is used on a dual action airbrush to fine tune or set a spray pattern and prevent you from disaster if you finger slip while spraying that delicate camo or dusting effect.

Again your airbrush maker may not sell one or the price may put you off. Nut & Bolt to the rescue What a Face

Start buy filing or grinding very slowly the end of the handle until you have a hole big enough for the bolt. Glue the nut using CA and be sure it's well centered. VoilĂ ! you're now the proud owner of a preset handle.
