Exciting new release from Vulcan Models

Post  Jenny Ryan on Sat May 09, 2009 12:56 pm

Vulcan Models is a new company , their first release is a much needed release of the British 2 pounder which was the main anti tank gun of the allies in the early period of the desert war .

It looks like a quality kit with laminated wheels (like lion roar does ) .

Thanks to Terrya of PMMS for the information on this Very Happy .

Thanks Jenny (& Terry).

I'd love to see how this kit compares to the old resin and metal Sovereign 2000 kit.

Yes Yes YES!! About time someone did one of these, and what a great way to get themseves on the modelling map by doing the 2pdr. I know I'll be getting at least a couple.

Thanks Terrya and Jenny for sharing this

I just went over the instructions to proof-read them before final printing and there are some grayed out parts which signify a different version. Sliding molds are in effect. No decals (none needed as my research into the boxes did not show any markings). The instructions are easy to follow until step ten where one must decide how to complete the model. Step eleven is Transport and twelve firing mode. The gun mount turntable (part B26) has a tab which can be removed to allow the gun to arc in any direction. The tab is there to ensure the gun points straight back when in transport mode.

I'll be posting a review soon (after I get the production run kit).

Regards,
Saúl
